The annual awards made by ILAF since 1986 have funded scholarships, continuing education workshops and the Endowed Speaker at the ILA Annual Conferences.
About ILA Foundation
Organized in 1983, the Iowa Library Association Foundation awarded its first continuing education grant of $250 just three years later. Since 1986 the dollars awarded by ILAF have grown to more than $147,000. The annual awards made by ILAF since 1986 have funded scholarships, continuing education workshops and the Endowed Speaker at the ILA Annual Conferences.
ILAF is a 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by current law.

ILA Conference Scholarship
6, $250 dollar scholarships are available to attend the ILA Annual Fall Conference
- Susan Lerdal Memorial Scholarship - 4 available
- Biblionix Public Librarian Scholarship - 2 available
Applicants must be paid members of the Iowa Library Association AND meet at least one of the following:
- Be attending their first ILA conference
- Have worked in an Iowa library for fewer than three years
- Be a library science student
