Funds To Donate To

The Endowed Speakers Fund is used to underwrite keynote speaker fees at the Iowa Library Association Annual Conference. Typically, around $5,000 is given to the Conference Planning Committee each year to fund excellent speakers.

The Naomi Stovall Leadership Fund, established in 2007, in honor of the leadership of former ILA Executive Assistant Naomi Stovall, this fund supports the ILA Leadership Institute and other library leadership training activities.

The Jack Tillson Operating Fund, established in 1994 by a bequest from the estate of Mr. Jack Tillson, is used to underwrite general expenses for the Iowa Library Association Foundation.

The Jack Tillson Scholarship Fund, an endowment established in 1987 by this longtime Executive Assistant to the Iowa Library Association, is used to award a $1,500 scholarship to a library student attending the University of Iowa School of Library Science.

Undesignated Funds allow the ILAF Board to apply your donation where it will do the most good, including the ILA Foundation Scholarship Fund which is used to award a $1,500 scholarship to an outstanding student pursuing a graduate degree in School Library Studies at the University of Northern Iowa.

Endow Iowa Fund, donors to this fund will receive a 25% Iowa tax credit, in addition to the normal federal charitable income tax donations. Donations to the fund will be used where they can do the most good. Please contact the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines to donate via the Endow Iowa Fund and mention the donation is for the Iowa Library Association Foundation.
