Iowa Association of School Librarians (IASL) is again teaming up with the Iowa Reading Association (IRA) for a summer conference. This year it takes place on June 21 and 22 in Ames. It's back on ISU's campus this summer.
IRA has a large membership, and is able to attract a number of conference speakers, so it has been great to be able to partner with their organization and our fellow reading teacher colleagues. This year, they are welcoming: Kevin Honeycutt, Cornelius Minor, Colby Sharp, and Dr. Jan Burkins.
One thing that was missing last summer from the IRA conference was sessions for and led by Iowa Teacher Librarians. Please consider proposing a session this summer, either on your own or with a TL colleague, so that we can have some library-specific sessions to attend.
Conference proposals are due by March 1st. Submit your proposal
