Purpose

  • To promote the art of storytelling for the enjoyment and education of people of all ages
  • To share ideas and network with others interested in storytelling
  • To provide continuing education opportunities

Activities

  • Publish two or three newsletters per year
  • Offer continuing education credit workshops at  the ILA Annual  Conference
  • Inform members of national requests for storytelling
  • In the future, would like to make storytelling resources available for purchase

Who would benefit from membership?

  • All children’s and young adult librarians
  • School media specialists
  • Those involved in adult programming or special services to outreach populations
